Which Type of Web Hosting Should You Choose For Your Startup Website

Do you know which web hosting best works for you? Which web hosting should you choose for your startup? The dilemma is quite obvious because every web hosting is not for every website. And if you have started your startup them you are here and it's the right place where I can tell you some things that should be taken into consideration while choosing for web hosting for your startup.

According to Wikipedia, A web hosting service is a type of internet hosting service that allows individuals and organizations to make their website accessible via the World Wide Web. For small start-ups it's not required to go for a big website still it is required because it gives a platform where you can establish your brand and it can also serve as the main access point for reaching out to customers and vice versa. Give your website a strong foundation by going for a reliable and high performing web hosting service. In simple words, you may say that web hosting is a way of renting space on a web server. There are many types of web hosting some are shared by multiple websites and some are shared by only one website. So here we will discuss different types of web hosting services:

Shared web hosting is the most popular of all the web hosting and it is because it's very cheap and that's why so popular among the startup owners. The same server here is connected to a lot of other websites. Shared hosting is very much ideal for startups with less traffic. And because the hosting is shared, as the name suggests the resources will also be shared and defined as per the plan.

But it has some drawbacks too. If any website has a sudden traffic increase it is going to affect your website performance too. So we can say that undoubtedly shared hosting is a great option to opt for small startups or startups with limited or average traffic, which are on budget constraints. This kind of web hosting also suits those who do not require lots of resources. So this type of web hosting is good for beginners, bloggers, and new startups as it is very effective, cost-effective, and doesn't require high technical knowledge.

So, from the above discussion, it's clear that shared web hosting is very much cost-effective and doesn't require deeper technical know-how.  In my opinion, I would recommend shared web hosting to startups that are new and have money constrain. Go for it if you are expecting an average or low traffic. It is not for the ones who get lots of traffic onto their website.  But always keep in mind that performance issues will be there. There may be times when your website can load slowly because of the traffic boosted at some other website because every resource is shared here. If another website is using any such resource in bulk you will have to suffer the consequence. So, opt only when you are short of money.

VPS Hosting: VPS is Virtual Private Server hosting. According to Hubspot "with the virtual private server (VPS) hosting, users still share the same physical server space but the hosting provider installs a virtual layer on top of the server's operating system. VPS is partially private and therefore is an ideal website that is more consumer-focused like e-commerce. These are good for high traffic websites. And therefore it is more costly than shared hosting and also this required more technical knowledge.

Dedicated servers: They come in top web hosting. Here servers will be dedicated to you only.  Also, it is expensive and I will not suggest it for small startups. No sharing of resources here. So, every resource you only utilize and there will be no problem like what if someone uses your resources.

Which Web Hosting Is The Best For Startups?

Every web hosting comes up with a positive and negative aspect.

And once your website traffic takes off you may switch to VPS hosting from shared web hosting. Also, VPS is perfect when you are not on that much budget. Here you can get more performance in comparison to shared web hosting just like eCommerce companies. As they have client data to manage.

So, from the above there types, you can choose web hosting according to your will. But take care of your budget and traffic numbers on your website.

So while shared hosting is a great option if you want to save some money, it definitely won't deliver the most high-quality web hosting experience for you or your website visitors. VPS hosting is good when you have performance in mind and also if you have a fixed budget. And dedicated web hosting is for companies that have a good budget and want to use the benefits and resources all on their own. So you need to be very careful about your requirement, what you want, and what your goal is about.
